I did some drawings of native american & oceanic masks and sculptures- its refreshing to step away from the european canon sometimes and explore more abstract, expressive approaches to the human figure.

Bethesda Fountain

No matter where I go, there's no place I love as much as New York, especially now that spring has finally arrived. These are a few little sketches of Bethesda Fountain in Central Park- fun fact: Emma Stebbins, who designed the statue in 1868 was the first woman to recieve a major comission for a public work of art in NYC.

IDK, MY BFF LENE?

Lene makes me awesome things, and I obvs need to share them with the world- here's little me (note the fang!) hanging out with my literary bff Oscar Wilde. I've got polka dots and everything!


We've gotten sucked into this bbc series that's based very, very, very loosely on arthurian legend (there was an entire episode about unicorns, if this gives you any indication of what kind of show this is). I made her a pop up card for her bday of merlin riding a unicorn, and then she crafted an actual merlin & unicorn based on my card. Cause we're cool like that :D



These are all characters from Dr Who & Torchwood- the one on the top left is a hand puppet.

Bad Drawings of People I like

When I was bored and had a pen out, be it on a train, the plane, or waiting for our food, I tended to draw Lizzie & Kelly- the quality of likeness is um, highly variable :D.
