I Went to the society session with lizzie tonight & was surprised to see one of the models was kika- she's always wonderful to draw and was an interesting contrast to the other, much softer, model.

Wall-e was fantastic! I'm trying to draw more directly in photoshop sans the use of an scanned in sketch, but its still a little wobbly at the moment.

Summer at the Movies

My friends made the mistake of letting me watch Enchanted. I think they realized the gravity of their error around about the tenth chorus of 'happy little working song'.


On the complete opposite of the spectrum, I recently saw V for Vendetta, and this is basically what I took away from it. I, for one, would have held that grudge a bit longer.

So, would anyone be interested in starting up a sketchcrawl group? Sort of the same idea as the documentary class- go somewhere, draw, rinse, repeat- but without that pesky 'I have to be there, or I'll FAIL' obligation. Socializing, leaving your house, and drawing weird looking strangers- you know you want to. ^_^

The Museum of Comic & Cartoon Art Festival was really cool- there's few things neater than several rooms filled with all kinds of comics and books and drawings and people who like the same things you do. It was a little intimidating, but I think I'll be more comfortable next year, considering last year I wouldn't have even gone at all :D

My favorite thing about Otto Dix is that he loved to dance, and according to the book I'm reading, was occasionally known as 'Jimmy the Shimmy King'.

Me & my friend Jess took a road trip up to see our friend Teresa in Ithaca. This is pretty much what our journey was like :D

The musical numbers from Funny Face are so colourful & fun, though I find it hard to draw Audrey Hepburn without making her look evil (its the brows).
