Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Bday Blog!

My blog is officialy a year old today! woohoo!

just keep drawing

Not great, but the last two make me laugh.

Doodles & Lautrec

A few things from the sketchbook- the second one is my dad reading on the ferry. I was looking through my Toulouse-Lautrec books the other night, which I haven't done in ages; its funny to see how much I owe him & his sensibility.

Little frida

In a little bit of a drawing rut & have a million things to work on, but sometimes you just need to something else :D

Stuff on my desktop

Work In Progress illustrator doodle (ignore her lack of fingers & the pointy ear) and a couple of really rough ideas for a project I wanna do.

Embaressment

Micheal's Comics

This is what I think about at work.

Watercolour Doodles

My thrilling post-collegiate lifestyle

No hair like 18th century English hair

Klimt

E Tilley in the house!

My final for the eustace tilley new yorker contest :D

Hip Hop Fop

Work in progress for the eustace tilley contest, (very) loosely coloured - what do you think?

Wicked!

I went to see Wicked with my friend coleen today; I was huge into the oz books as a kid, so it was alot of fun :D

Pretentious

Old School

Just some things I came across while going through old work :D

He's a dedicated follower of fashion

I want to enter the New Yorker's Eustace Tilley contest (http://www.newyorker.com/online/covers/slideshow_tilleycovers), so these are a couple of concepts I'm playing with- an Eustace fountain, tupac 'fop 4 life' tilley, butterflies in the hat, shopping (the official sport of dandies) and Eustace as narcissus. I'm partial to the fountain/statue one, I think, but I could definitely use some feedback- what do you think?

Me 2.0

I'm starting the process of revamping my portfolio site- playing around with something like this for the front page

Goofy Faces from the Sketchbook

Mr. Demille....

I was just playing with a brush pen (not waterproof, unfortunately) and some silent movie reference.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

In the spirit of new years, here's a glimpse of the past.

Oooh mr todd, I could eat you up, I really could!

This is the little christmas comic I did for my friends- I was playing around with bitmap tiffs & I think it turned out kind of fun; its prints much nicer than it looks here. I saw sweeney todd yesterday & doodled the mrs lovetts- Helena Bonham Carter was a much lower key mrs lovett & I sort of missed Angela Lansbury's blithe mania.

Merry Christmas!

The way my mom wrapped my gifts is sooo, soooo adorable I just have to share it- she even drew the fang in & everthing! how cute is that? Merry Christmas everyone!

Get along little doggies!

A little illustrator doodle- I'm kicking around the idea of story about a pair of mismatched cowboy dogs.
