More stuff from italy!

Some more drawings from the sketchbook! The black ink ones were done in the signoria, a place that was everything you could hope in a drawing spot- seating, lots of tourists to surreptiously sketch, interesting statues to draw if the tourists were sparse, street musicians, and conveniently located gelato :D The mermaid and sailor were done on the placemats of the pizzeria across the street from our pensione.

Good Company

These are sketches of just some of the folks who were along on the trip- the lovely & extremely talented Vickie and Lizzie Savanella, who were crazy fun to live with (you should only see the drawings I can't put up here ;D), as well as meghan, lauren, arianna, melinda, marianne, kaitlyn and the always fun brendon-paolo-ricardo trio.

William Low Personal Project Part the Second

These are the original rough sketches and finishes for my personal project in William Low's class- they were a fun excercise in character, expression, and season, and I think they came out pretty neat.

More painting from the model

Yet another painting from life, done in about two hours in william low's class this morning; It's kinda fun playing with the warm and cool colours.
In more exciting news, the senior show is up online! (here's the link- http://www3.fitnyc.edu/illustration/seniorshow2007/index.htm ) There's some really wonderful work in there, so definitely check it out.

Drawings at the Met

This portrait always cracks me up- I can so imagine her saying 'like, OH MAH GAWD, you'll NEVER guess who I saw at the mall today! I KNO RITE?!!! LOL! let's get some shoes!' for some reason.

William Low Personal Project

This is the first finish from my personal project for William Low's class, taking Freckles McGee here and using him in a different little vignette for each of the four seasons (this one is summer, autumn has him trick or treating with a bratty sister, and so on). I think he looks like an Alfred or a Herbert.
